I sensed this from his FB feed but wasn't sure.

He posted something like "oh no not again."

Nothing like downsizing your marketing department when you are struggling. That certainly won't help sales. I'm assuming this was a financial decision and not a job performance decision, but who knows.

He was offered to stay but I couldn't even feed my dogs on what they wanted to pay him. Too bad, he really got that mountain biking up and running to where people actually knew it was going on.  Who knows what will happen now.

Sounds like good work if you can get it.

The challenge is that they don't pay their employees much to begin with, so I can't even imagine what they offered Travis. If they are ever going to grow the business, they will need to invest in a quality sales and marketing department.

Did Travis have any other insight as to what is happening with the business?

TJ Sacco killed it Saturday

That's the good news ---- bad news is they were grossly understaffed for this event. At one point there were at least 40 people standing at the bar trying to get a drink with one bartender, even superman John couldn't keep up. There were many, many new faces there as well. I know myself and a lot of  other locals had invited peeps to come check it out. They all enjoyed the music but the common theme was the service was poor simply due to not enough staff.

I'm so glad they had a nice turnout. I've been out of the country for a few weeks, so was pleased to see your posting. I definitely think a multi=week concert series is a much better approach than one headliner, as they've done in the past.

Ethan Snow

Is anyone familiar with the new bridge that is going in at Greek Peak? I had the job of applying Epoxy to the giant I-beams as I am good friends with the contractor who is doing the work. That is how I paid off the work he did for me recently at Woodstream. What a job that was. Nasty thick smelly stuff.

Is this the one over by the garage?  I took a ride over there 2 weeks ago, and it looks like they're building it beefy, just like the deck.

Yes, that's the one. Its my understanding that they currently don't have a bridge that is sufficient for transporting Groomers and other heavy equipment across the creek, but now they will. They are building it really beefy. I don't know how well you can see the photo, but those beams are enormous. 24" thick. We had them, delivered to the shop in Oneontawhere me and my brother painted them with the epoxy, and then Lary Stevens (contractor) had to transport them to GP on an 18 wheeler.

Those are some pretty impressive beams!

Any other signs of improvement on the mountain?
