Eh...Sales 101 would be don't piss off long time customers with stupid marketing and pricing schemes. So apparently the demand for GP passes is so immense they can afford do that. I guess that explains all the long lift lines this year. Oh...wait, there were no lift lines. Whatever Camp. Defend GP right up until they go out of business. Their snowmaking sucked this year, despite a bunch of new snow guns. There are plenty of adequate substitute products within a few minutes drive from GP. |

Was there for two seasons, never was unable to ski because they were closed. I'm not competing with other patrons for pricing. That's just fucking stupid. When pricing comes out if I have to do that I'll buy the family passes to Song/Lab, and with the kids in college I'll have more freedom to go further afield next year anyway. It's a dumb plan Camp. |

You'd think the marketing department might take a look at their list of long-time season pass holders and offer them some sorta early season deal to thank them for the support? Or maybe they take people who keep buying passes year after year for granted? Interesting strategy...

I like this idea. Give the previous years passholders the first shot at the early pricing if they are going to only offer a limited number of passes at the lowest price. ![]()

Let’s advertise a fixed grip quad as a high speed express lift. Then lets begin charging a resort fee on items that no other ski area in the country does. Let’s go on local television and tell the public that it’s expensive to ski. Then, why not increase the trail count on trails that will rarely be open. If what Camp reports comes to fruition, it certainly wouldn’t surprise me.

Oh well. Like I said, if they do this then my money will go to Song. If Greek subsequently decides to continue the lower pricing, it will be too late. I'll have made my decision and put my money on the table. Song and Lab may not have everything GP has, but they don't screw around with stupid crap like this. It's like they have a Wheel of Stupid Ideas they spin. |

That’s great. I love it! It’s been all about deceptive marketing and practices the last few years. How many more customers will they lose to Elk and Song? |

Anyone know why the quad isn't running today? Looked at the webcam a couple time today and it was running early on then not later..and still not. Is the loading area flooded?
Webcams look like early April conditions. Season for CNY hills could be over this week ![]() |

The carpet on the quad was hitchy yesterday. It kind of jerked along. I wonder if it finally had major issues.

I’m at Killington this weekend, but they were having problems with the conveyor the two prior weekends. It seemed quite a bit better last weekend, but possibly not.

If the carpet died they should still be able to run the lift without it. They'd need to cover it over with snow and run the lift slower. Fixed quads can travel at 485 fpm with a carpet but only 450 fpm without.

The carpet has been acting funny for a while...like half the season.
Seems like preventative maintenance isn't in the budget. No offense GP, but get your ducks in a row. Stupid marketing ploys will not help. |

Well some of us want to ski, while others are happy sitting in the bar. I'm not hating. The belt on the quad has clearly had issues for several weeks, which if you skied this year you'd know. As for the pass pricing, whatever. I should be right smack in the middle of their target market, but they continue to marginalize me (and by me I mean people like me - age wise, income wise, etc.). I'm not stupid enough to compete for a non-scarce resource. That ain't how it works Camp. |

OK, fine. But apparently you are stupid enough to want to ski inferior terrain simply because of the way you MIGHT be marketed too. I just share info as I get it --- it may not even be true time will tell Song is closed today |

Camp never says anything bad about Greek. Try and keep it real and he will scream "hater" in his usual troll like way. Just stop it's not even worth arguing.

Don't get me started on that topic. When a light falls off of a pole, a snow making fence blows away, or a tree falls down, they simply ignore it. While the new owners have been making annual investments, I also wish they would focus on the "shabbiness" factor. They replaced trail signage, which was a good thing, but how about getting some paint on the lifts before they rust away to nothing, and doing some additional preventive maintenance work off-season to spruce the place up. We're not talking major expenditures. |
