Whats with Chair 4????? Is it broke down for the remainder of the season???  Unfortunate timing with a big dump coming.

I was told 3 differnt things:
It's closed for routine maintenance
A part is being shipped in
It's done for the season
Hopefully it's not closed for the season, as it's only March 1st. Routine maintenance should have been completed over the summer. That leaves, "waiting for a part," which would be my guess.

I envision that March 10 will be like when Cornell opens up registration for the wines class.  I have a note on my calendar to try and purchase my pass first thing next Saturday.

Yes, you can get college credit for taking wines.    Lots of people fail it, thinking that it's only about drinking and don't actually study.  :)

not sure why billy is so butthurt, pretty common marketing / cash grab, blue is doing the same $399 for a "limited time". dumb to cut it off at 450 though, probobly could of sold alot more

woo hoo with this forecast i might make it to greek this year after all!

I think that's pretty much every class in every college in general   I don't think my junior year microprocessors professor would even recognize me sober.

I have no information to say this other that I'm in retail.

They won't cut it off ---- it will be extended due to overwhelming response.

You heading up for the weekend??? I think we are gonna hit pay dirt!

First, I'm not butthurt. I really don't give a shit about GP's marketing.

Second, by the time the extend their "offer" people (myself included) may have spent their money on season passes elsewhere.

This would be a tactic if there were scarcity of supply, or high demand. There is neither. They can't create demand this way. it's stupid because it will lose customers. That doesn't seem to matter to Greek.

Gorg - your comment that it's dumb to cut if off at 450 people is exactly my point. I'm not going to sit in front of my computer next week in hope's of getting a pass at the lowest price. If they extend it the very next day, maybe I will. But if not I'll do what I did a copule years ago and go to Song / Lab, and do a few days/night trips to GP on discount days and 2 for 1's. For some reason GP prefers to have a small portion of my ski pass spending, rather than all of it.

With their pricing tiers based on volume, now the competition will have a pretty good idea how many pass holders GP has.

I forgot that GP thinks they are clever marketeers.

I'd bet you are spot on, Camp. They simply want to create the excitement and sense of urgency. If not, they will shoot themselves in the foot, yet again.

Exactly. Create urgency. If they don't extend it then that's another animal all together, one that couldn't be explained.

How many passes do you think they sell every year?

Is the price for an individual pass really $450 total? OR are they not including sales tax and it will end up being like $486?

I just went to the site and put a pass in the cart for myself, then another for my daughter.

It looks like $450 per pass, not additional taxes or fees.

It's not clear if they are going to offer reduced pricing on multiple passes like they did last year. The only reason I got a pass for my daughter in college is because the fourth pass was pretty cheap. But she barely got her money's worth over her winter break. If they don't have discounts for either college students or family pricing I can't justify passes for the kids.

Any snow up there yet? It's raining hard still here in Endicott.
