Re: Greek Peak Conditions

I thought it looked like they were contemplating closing.  They were pulling the features off of the terrain park by the A frames.

It has been a good season.  Despite the crappy weather, I have 28 1/2 times in.  The 1/2 is for the day that I took two runs and left because it was so bad.

I have a hunch they were pulling the features, as the snow depth has diminished. The main mountain is holding up, albeit the Platonic below the Stoic is just about gone. I just think they need at least one more weekend, as closing in mid-March might not look great from a PR standpoint. They always try to shoot for the first weekend in April, which likely isn’t in the cards this year. They are calling for the possibility of a couple of inches of snow later in the week, which might get people back on the mountain.

Nice day today.  I am glad I chose skiing over yoga.  :)

You don’t have to count to that as a half day btw. If you slid on snow it counts, even if it’s a one-and-done.

Totally agree. Once on snow it is officially ski or snowboard day

Beautiful sunny skies today and nice snow. They moved snow around to cover some of the areas they were losing. They did a great job.

It was crazy empty yesterday, and very nice conditions. It may not pay them to stay open much longer. At least it's close to the natural end of the season anyway, and hopefully they can help their workers if they do decide to close earlier than planned.

We slid/walked over to Chair 5 yesterday and it was excellent there....about 6 people including us for five or six runs. Then a few more came and parked at the base of 5.

Glad I bought my season pass there for next year. Will be getting passes for my daughters as well.

They also sent out an email.

In addition to the ski area, they are also closing down the waterpark, spa, adventure center and most dining venues.

You know, even if covid19 wasn't a thing, I don't think we would be skiing this weekend anyway. The snow looks almost gone.

I got 29 1/2 days in, according to my calculations. I figure that I need to ski at least six runs for it to count. That's not too bad for a crappy year. I'll take it.

Here's hoping to a better season next year.

Nice amount of ski days
I didn't get to Greek this season at all
I ok with that
Most people probably count 1 run as a day fyi

Still holding on.

HUGE thank you to Greek Peak for Trax delivery/takeout, and the community grocery store. We're lucky to have such a caring group of people running GP.

Looks like you might be able to stitch together a line on the one run there. It’s a little sketch maybe
