Hickory Conditions

I think it's important to have a Hickory Ski Center thread...

I'm in.

I am going to try and make it down on Sunday. I spoke with Shawn Dempsey, the GM of Hickory, the other day, and he said things are going well, but they have not started any of the snowmaking upgrades as of yet. They are hoping to get some of it done this fall, but time is running out. Regardless of that though, they seem very dedicated to making Hickory work, and that is awesome!

Alot of hidden things going on...new three phase power, communication cables, rebuilding the Roost at the summit (a cool little warming hut/lodge), more trimming of woods (I didn't say that), etc.  All we need is snow and it will be a great season.

Actually it's tire tracks as seen through Hickory Ski Center's new webcam!

Very cool IMO. It's aimed straight out from the base lodge, pointed up Lower Honey Run.
