Hoser
Hey it adds up.  Going to smuggs Sunday on 2 liftopia tix purchased thru this site link.  Was less than $50 each purchased a couple weeks ago.   Also looking at LL and AB for a quick Denver weekend later this season.   Liftopia really makes it real especially compared to vail breck keystone etc prices.   Less time on 70 too

Harvey, I assume you are at Gore tomorrow?  If you are, let me know which you think will be better on Sunday.  I’d put in the extra hour to Gore with all the glades in play!
Yes Gore tomorrow. We didn't got OOB there was a lot in. Trees thinner at the bottom.

What a day. I skied first to last with a loong break in there. Untracked on the trails was a bit windblown, much less in trees.

Great to meet Jason the Argonaut.

All my good pics are on the camera (vs phone). Got to get dinner first.

I particularly liked skiers left on Blockbuster where it forms a nice little couloir from the snowmaking whales.
It's called "Richie's Couloir." It forms there at some point every year.

I was kind of hoping in the back of my mind that he’d be there yesterday, seeing he was at Hunter a couple days earlier. .  Maybe GP will be on his list soon

Brownski, I hope you asked him to sign those skis.

When you think about it, Plake's job is mostly about being Glen Plake. He is his own brand ambassador. Sure, he likely has sponsor obligations but notice that his RV does not have "Elan Skis" written on it big letters, it reads "Glen Plake" for all to see. Brownski didn't go to Plattekill for an Elan demo, he went to see Plake. I think it is very impressive that he has been able to build and maintain a career based on a personality (and hairstyle) created over 30 years ago in a few great ski movies. Kudos.

Edit: here is a good overview of GP's career and the impetus behind the Down Home Tour:

So fucking cool. Thanks for the heads up Camp. Plake was into the K2s for sure. SBR, I did not get them signed. That might be better though cause I might not want to ski them anymore if I did and I still like taking them out 4 or 5 times a year.
