Last weekend it wasn’t quite ready. What’s coming down might be just the ticket

I did three runs in some lower angle trees last Saturday after building up confidence on some trails that didn’t have any manmade snow. Given the firm base I did not hit anything. There were rocks and stumps visibly poking through, but it was a surfy few inches sitting on that firm base that allowed for decent turns.

There were areas that had less coverage, but I would say low angle trees where you aren’t making really agressive turns could be game. I’m seriously considering being sick Friday...

Skiing is good lots of soft snow around

All signs point to Sunday for me and the boys.  Jealous of those who got there today.  If the ridge is in play leave some for me!

In play I'm sure. But no need to hike yet.

Everything I’ve skied so far has been great!  I particularly liked skiers left on Blockbuster where it forms a nice little couloir from the snowmaking whales.  The trees on skiers left on plunge and Lucians line aren’t bad either.

Harvey, I assume you are at Gore tomorrow?  If you are, let me know which you think will be better on Sunday.  I’d put in the extra hour to Gore with all the glades in play!
