All the time, the crap ends up in a box in the basement, then it gets tossed out. But as the saying goes “Happy wife Happy Life”

In other news, the 1st gen Acura Nsx was a better investment than the stock market.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-03/the-classic-acura-nsx-is-a-better-investment-than-the-dow
I love the NSX and would love to have one. It is overpriced right now. It has always been "overpriced" for me.

The funny thing about the NSX and other special cars from the 1990s is the lack of HP when compared to current cars. The 1991 NSX has 270hp (252hp with an auto tran) and 210 lb-ft of torque. The current GM 2.0 4cyl turbo that GM sticks in everything is running around 260hp/290tq.

Any car person could go get a used 2015 Ford Mustang GT today, running 435hp/400tq, for around $25K-$30k. I understand the difference between and NSX and  Mustang, but 435hp is serious fun. The current Mustang and Camaro might even handle and ride better than the NSX. The nice thing about a high horsepower 2015 Mustang (or Camaro or Challenger) is you do not have to be afraid to drive them and if they break you can easily get them fixed no matter where you are.
It is a great time for horsepower.

Have you heard the story about the auto show when the Nsx was released? Ford was doing their own unveiling and the top Honda guy sat in the Nsx behind the curtains and revved the engine. They basically crashed whatever the Ford unveiling was.

One point to note is the prius was 4k more msrp than insight in 2011. You know how long you have to drive either to save that 4k in gas? Do the math on $3/gallon at 15k mi per year. Hell even double it to 30k mi per year. Say, 7 more mpg avg in the prius isn't really that much if you paid 4k more.
All of that is irrelevant. We bought that car because my wife wanted it.  We just bought some rug I thought we didn't needed for $600 too.  That all pales next to the land, excavation, well drilling and carpentry I bought in the Adks.  You ever buy stuff for your wife that, by your calculation, doesn't make sense?
This is arguably the best comeback ever.

Re: Sweet Car Thread.

I took it for a drive around last night.  I downshifted from 3rd to 2nd coming into a corner it is started backfiring and died.  The were having problems with a valve on top of the engine that sprays the oil around.  I think I may have cracked a the block.  They are coming back Friday to pick it up and bring it back.  I did get it fired back up and home but just about all the oil leaked out on the way home.

I have to get picture when it is up on a lift.  That is were 80 percent of the work was done.  It pretty much rebuilt.  They are going to have to work on the brakes as well.  It does not have enough stopping power and it is entirely new.  I'm guessing I will see it again next summer.  HA.   I

Two words:  Mazda Miata.

All your roadster needs without all the roadster troubles.

Put that thing in a showroom and be done with it.

Dude that sucks. I doubt you cracked the block if it fired back up. Hopefully it's a simple fix (never is tho) and you'll have it back soon.

Regardless it will be worth the wait. She's a beauty!
