Year and a half and a shit ton on money later the Healey is on the road.
Does it have a push button start and overdrive switch?  My dad had a '59 Healey....not the 3000 series, not a Sprite.  Forgot the model.  It had windows you inserted.
Sent from the driver's seat of my car while in motion.

Comparing a Miata to a Healey is like comparing a yeti to a huffy.

They are fun to ride but you are not taking them home,

I am serious I don't expect to get it back until next summer but I will.  They are going to have to pull the engine.  You know where the two blocks come together below the spark plugs?...that is where the oil came out.  We will see.  Whatever it is it is on them, the shops words not mine.

Heh, yeah, I actually know what you mean.  I had one of the first Miatas way, way back.  It never did much for me.  I sold it to an old lady. ;)

I think it's just I'm not a roadster guy though.  The AH doesn't do much for me.  A 50s Ferrari roadster?  I might get into that though.

I like the British Roadsters and all their PITA issues. I owned a TR6 and a TR7 --- just something about them. But like you say they aren't for everyone.

Sometimes there's just nothing better than pure American muscle. Melonized has stuck again. 1974 H-back Nasty Nova with a built 350. He's been working on it for a looooooong time. She's gonna roll real soon.

What a wild car

When the STI was first introduced I was able to go to a ride and drive put on by Subie. It was a t a race track in PA, Beaver something or other I think. Anyway, if anyone ever gets the chance to go drive any kind of car on an actual race track I recommend do so. Pure adrenaline rush. We were there for 2 days, first day was class time and some track time. Second day was all track time. The entire time we were driving we had professional drives with us, really cool guys. My guy raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The last three laps we had the option of either driving or letting our instructor take us for a drive. I looked at my guy and told him I wanted him to scare the shit out of me. Now, we all think we're bad ass drivers and can handle anything. I'm hear to tell you we have zero clue what we are doing. This dude made me soil my britches. He went into corners so fucking hard it still amazes me. I was literally and 100% pinned against the pass side window with the g-forces this guy generated. What a hoot. It's a must do for anyone who loves driving. Pretty sure I may have called for my mommy too.
