I haven't been to WF much, but, both powder days had zero plowing in my lot. I thought, hmmmmm.....plowing. Sort of basic.

Just for my own sanity, tell me what this whining accomplishes other than scare off potential skiers, who may or may not be passholders, and may or may not be residents of NY, who may or may not be patrons of other local businesses inside the blue line?

It's all about honesty, transparency, and calling out a taxpayer funded entity that is misusing those funds by way of mismanagement, bad planning, and lack of a need for a profit.
I live here, as Z lives in Wilmington, and we see how these factors hold Gore and WF back from ever competing with Killington, or almost any NE resort in regards to attracting more skier visits.
So, this thread is to shine a light on these deficiencies in hopes that someone form ORDA or King Andy, Betty Little, or Dan Stec read this and hopefully will start asking how these ORDA venues are being run.

The reality is, if we want ski resorts in the park it should be handled like the national park service does it, lease the land to private companies and let them run it. The state will make money and the product will be better.

You're preaching to the choir.  The only ones that nod along are the ones that feel the same and all you do is harm those who don't know any better, and as I said, seem to be having a great time based on other stuff i read.

Sorry your home hill is disappointing you, but you are free to move.  I'd gladly take your place in that area.  You have a privilege, not a right.  And all you are doing is hurting your neighbors.

If you want to make a difference, start an organization and get some names on a piece of paper.  That's the only way you even have a small chance of fighting this, and it'll be years.  It probably won't work.  But it has a lot more chance than this pointless drivel does.

I won't say I disagree, and I'm not a huge fan of my tax money be flushed down the toilet when it could be spent on programs, that IMO, have much better meaning than the (professional) sham we call the Olympics, but this ain't the way to fix it.

Nothing has ever been fixed by complaining on an internet forum.

Oh and Shaman, just out of curiosity, what does your Killington (full access) pass cost compared to an ORDA pass?

And as far as my org suggestion... you ever heard of a guy named Ron Kon?  Yeah, I don't know him personally, but I'm a member of his org, and it seems to be accomplishing things.  Is he here making a thread complaining about the DEC thwarting BC skiing in the Adirondacks?  No, he's fucking making it happen.
