I don’t know but given Scottie’s silence on this topic I’m guessing he would know or was there.

I took advantage of the weather conditions on Saturday to do some trail work - the kinda trail work you do when you want to make sure the wrong people wont be in the woods.....  So no I wasnt on the hill.  

But yeah I’ve spoken to a brother who was there, and I’m praying for the injuried to recover.

People need to respect the Slides and use more common sense.  Maybe wisdom comes with age or having been injured makes you realize you are not immortal and bad decisions have consequences.  

I’m wondering if WF decides to go for another weekend or even tries to be open in May.  Good marketing if they can pull it off when Stowe closed early.

Thoughts?

Do you think Whiteface will have a decent amount of intermediate terrain open this weekend? I'm thinking of heading up (from NJ) with my wife who does not like black diamonds. WOuld like to do a day at whiteface and one at Gore.

Whiteface is really limited on intermediate terrain despite what marketing says and it will be even more challenging in the spring when it's all bumped up.  Gore normally has plenty but it's mostly closed at this point in the season.  Mount Snow would probably be your best bet as they have a lot of their intermediate terrain still open, plus a good amount of expert terrain on the North Face.

Only thing that concerns me is whether temps will be sufficient to harvest some sweet corn!

Yeah, probably not corn so much as velvety soft hero snow.  Not as interested in driving up for mid-winter packed pow groomers!

Why did the email blast for Northwood Hotel in LP say WF received 9" snow this week? I am missing something?

Report this morning lists 2” in 24, 9” last 7 days.

Not allowing me to paste it, it reads "With 9" of fresh snow, and more on the way....."  then talks about the weekend 20% savings. GRRR marketing people.......Fake news!
