Whiteface Conditions (2017 - 2018)

Come on?  Where's the love?  Today was so much better than yesterday and no one's telling me how great it is.

Thanks AK for committing to reopen next weekend when it would've been so easy to just say today is it due to lack of customers.

I'll second that. could easily have been the best day of spring skiing.

Where's the love? I for one am sick and tired of your narcissistic constant bitching showing up in my inbox because I am subscribed to this thread. I understand the issues on Saturday were a PIA but this is a case of boy crying wolf all season. I find it perversely comical that you are puking praise on the condition of skyward when you so emphatically bitched about the demise of the summit only days ago.

I recently read about how Zappos empowers their customer service reps to "fire" customers who aren't a good fit for the company. If I worked for ORDA you would be fired as a customer.

As usual Camp is a voice of reason.

OK we'll call it Constant Bitching. Do we have a thread for each mountain or just sno's favorites?

If we're voting I'd vote for Sno's favorites.

Seems as tho the rest of us can just toss a good ole fashioned bitch/rant out there and move on ----- Sno misses a gear and gets stuck.

I just want to know if Sno enjoyed my Cloudspin leftovers after he got his lazy ass whisked up there on Sunday?!

Glad it was good yesterday, I figured Sunday would be better than Saturday, and Saturday was pretty perfect, summit lift or no.  Summit must have been great!

I’m gonna start putting the next weekend sales job on wifey starting today.....

Parons to excelsior even rocked yesterday.  

I find waiting until Thursday is best.

Generally I’d agree.  I sprung this past Saturday on my wife at 4:30 on Friday!  I’m going to try to NOT be solo and actually make a weekend of it, requires a little more time to play those difficult chords.....

Best ever was the yr we skied the Slides on closing day.  Not sure yr but I think it may have 2007 or 08

Did you guys notice the Avalanche in slide 3a.  Contrast does not show well in a photo so I marked it

Cut over to boreen after low mac and ski to base and that combo we call “the longest run”.

I believe you are right. The Valentine's Day Storm was 2007 and I remember it was the first for 4 good storms.  I believe the last one was in the middle of April.

So who's going skiing this weekend for the extended season?  Planning to be there Sunday on my way to VT for a biz trip...hows things holding up on the mtn?  Any of you local guys been over there this week for a skin?  Weather not looking too promising for the weekend at the moment...and cold-ish...hopefully that changes.
