Gore Conditions (2010-2011)

Everything was damn good today too.

Didn't ski a trail (except for cut up powder on Sagamore as a cool down run). Hit all my favorites and sampled Barkeater too (okay skiing, but there were better places )

wed was real good skied everything didnt reconize kirby w/out the red coat,hope he got to enjoy the side country.its sat aftnoon and its dumpin .hope to see some folks up there sat, but if you dont see me its cause im in the trees

good day at Gore today, felt like 2 different days with the beautiful blue bird morning and the cloudy then snowy afternoon.  Wanted to ski upper darby but it was closed contrary to the trip report.

heres a couple quick vids from weds. got some more but saving them.

46er is opening tomorrow, with glades bypass of headwall.

Gondola should be open by 8:15 and Straightbrook could be ready early too."

I thought Saturday may have been the best day of the year.  Surprised at how nice the woods were, untracked in plenty of places.  Maybe everybody was over at Hickory...

Looks like I came home a weekend too early

mt was in great shape alltho much colder than anticipated windy too .had a great time .bowl to the top really gives the mt a whole new feel so much terrain to explore and enjoy

Jeff is right - Gore is skiing quite nicely right now.

Saturday was possibly the best weekend day of skiing I've had in years. Conditions held up well throughout the day. The new lift really spread the skiers out nicely. All the lifts were being used (even village chair a little) and none were crowded.

actually spent the whole day  sunday on officially marked maintained gore mt trails.now monday may have been a different day.top stayed cool and snowed bottom got warm and grabby . is is nice the mt does maintain avenues to access the goods

I don't like that every time I open this thread I see "No doubt some of us are getting up this morning thinking about Whiteface."

I realize it's from the first day of the season when Whiteface was open and Gore wasn't, but Harv, c'mon!

its grabby all the way to the top. i love rolling over the headwall of rumor and peelin off pie plates and cookie sheets.woods still have great coverage ,untracked gacky but tracked stuff real good
