Was following the Webcams most of today while at work and I think it's looking good! I'll be headed there tomorrow AM for sure. Cold enough that they might be blowing some more snow tonight as well.

I can't speak to what makes it worth it for you, but my wife and I went to GP for 3 hrs today on our season passes. They had Iliad, Elysian/Stoic, the top of Alcemene, Castor & Alpha open today. Looked like every snowgun they have was fired up and you could find edgeable snow on every trail. No lines at the lifts. Occasional lake effect squalls alternated with sunshine. For the recent weather we've had, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't mistake it for an epic day

Thanks camp I was  hopeing you would chime in. I have a pass at Greek also but haven't been up there since the thaw. I live closer to Elk and they generally have better conditions. So thinking ski the same old or get a half day. I don't think I would need my rock skis if I headed there. How was the coverage if I went to Greek should I bring my beaters?

GP was pounding that hill yesterday and all of last night in man_0_made POW. As long as temps hold out the skiing will get better and better each day. Skiing was okay yesterday, not great, but certainly not bad either.

Was out there this morning from 9:30 until about noon. The snow-making has certainly paid off! Only a few spots on the top of Iliad were icy, Fields had no ice and was riding really well, and Alcmene was getting a lot of snow blowing going on. While riding the chair lift I was talking to some guy, who was apparently in the know, and he told me after lunch they would be moving some guns over to Odyssey. Conditions could definitely be better with some real snow, but I'm certainly not complaining about the current state of the trails that are open. Would like some more to open, though

I'm with ya bro ---- with race camp going on those 2 trails can get a little congested at times. Not that I don't like those little racer dudes, but man they sure are all over the place.

Not to mention Ski Clubs are going to be starting in another week or so. Then it'll really be congested!

Tight skiers left on the Fields was soft gun POW --- man was that fun. First time all year (for me) skiing on something that wasn't frozen. Snow making is starting to move around the hill, so we should start to see more terrain opening up for the weekend.

Since Tuesday conditions have been steadily improving. I went for a couple of hours this morning and it snowed the entire time..(until about 11 when I left)

Guns are blazing on Odyssey and there are a couple of huge whales at the top of the headwall. It also looked like there were some going on the lower part of Trojan.

Complimentary pic of some leaning equipment from a couple of days ago...

I agree, today was a really great day. In fact, the past three days have been a lot of fun. Greek Peak and has been blasting snow non-stop and it's paying off on the west side of the mountain! Was there for another 2 hours this morning and had some great runs on Alcmene and Iliad. Was very excited to see snow making has moved to Odyssey and Trojan as well!  Will probably go again tomorrow and take Sunday off before going back to work on Monday -- after 4 days in a row need some rest

I skied the past nine days (some at Killington and some at GP), but left GP this morning in the fog. I wasn't really able to see what damage Mother Nature caused last night. Not much natural snow left on the ground as I was pulling out this morning.

They are expecting Doppelmayr back in soon to run a load test on 1A and re-program the conveyor to operate at a faster speed, given that the variance was granted by the state. If only Randy would stop slowing the lift down every minute or so.

One of the air compressors was down. Not sure if it is back up and running yet. They have been pumping about 400 gpm's. I believe they have the capacity to pump as high as high as 600 gpm's, so not certain if the air compressor was a factor.

Cornhead
Thought about heading up today, decided not to, webcams showed quite a bit of fog. I bet the "snow" skied well. I skied GP Friday and Saturday. Saturday we had intended calling it a day at 11, but it started snowing while we were in Trax, so we headed back out till 1:30. The conditions improved with every run, but the snow had become more solid and stingy by the time we left. The lift rides were a little chilly, damp, windy, with wet snow.Anyone ski there today? How bad was the fog?

I was told last week that they set a hill record @2300 gpm.

Wow!  A couple of snowmakers told me 400-600, so that's quite a difference.  I also heard they had 54 guns going at one point, but based on your information, not certain if that is reliable.
