Everybody is an expert.  I can keep the knobs straight.  Although I do enjoy reading their stuff.

Jagged rocks should make the best of 2019 posts.

You're right. Greek Peak is a model of operational efficiency, despite the jagged rocks.

Other ski areas could learn from the fine job Greek Peak has done to increase skier visits over the past seven years to the point where they no longer have to operate lift 1 during a holiday week. .

Good Gawd, RJ

Skier visits at GP have been on the decline for years, not just the past 7 years. Must be the word is out on the jagged rocks

As you know chair 1 did run over the holidays when needed.

So, please tell me what you feel the big mess is.

I'd point to Mount Snow if you'd like to see one huge massive shitshow

Geez I’ve been there maybe 5 times this season and like what I see. Every place you go to ski you can find fault in. But on the whole I see improvements I like, mainly snow making. This coming from a pass holder for years and went south the past couple of years because I didn’t like their direction. Think I’ll be back next year as a matter of fact, if I can reside myself to the fact I have to face the gantlet of cops on 81.

It's interesting how much emotion Greek Peak elicits. Probably more than any other area discussed on this board.

Here's an example that I am by no means proud of.

I'm a creature of habit, and tend to ski with the same jacket regardless of the temperature and conditions. It dawned on me right before we left for Killington this past week that I had skied Greek Peak with my 2017-18 pass attached to my jacket all of last season and this season to date. I only realized it when I went to move my pass to a different jacket that I had yet to wear, and it contained my 2018-19 pass. Never once did they notice the old pass last year or this year.

Now Camp! You know darn well it was the bankruptcy judge that told them NOT to pay their taxes. They were up to date on ALL payments until the bank debacle. Because they didn't have access to their snow making line of credit in the fall, they were told not to pay their taxes, and the FDIC infused capital to cover the initial snow making expenses at the start of the ski season. The prior owners were not in default on anything prior to the court order.

I can't speak to that. All I know is that they were up to date on everything prior to the bankruptcy.

There is always room for improvement in any organization, including my own. However, one has to admit to that rather than wearing blinders.
