Volvo P1800ES
My best man picked up an P1800 in college not sure if it was an ES. What is an ES?

It was in incredible condition, it had some miles on it. I think it had that venerable B20 engine that was in the classic Volvo wagon, but it was so much lighter, it got 40 mpg.

He drove it a long time, until, when he lived in Boston and someone totalled it while it was parked. Hit and run too.
My science teacher in HS is the world record holder for most miles on a vehicle.  He did it on an 1800...more than 3 million!!!  He lived way out east on LI and his commute was 125 miles/daily. I remember it in the school parking lot.  I think he may have hit a million while he was my teacher.

That's pretty cool, Marcski. I remember reading about that guy.

Apparently rust wrapping your ride is a thing now --- I guess I've had a few cars that were ahead of their time

LOL --- those wraps aren't cheap. It does look cool, I guess. If you had a car with flaws it certainly would be an option.

Agree. That thing is tough looking.

That old Ford Ranger I posted in the above picture would smoke it. It's a total sleeper. Has a built 427 in it. Holy smokes is it fast.

He must burn thru a lot of tires. Does he drive around with cement blocks in the bed?

I'm guessing that the cost of operation isn't this owners top concern.

12k not bad....entry level 944 motor built by Powehaus, Scottdale, AZ, years ago was 40k, which netted gobs of HP at the rear wheels, but nothing crazy, was mucho $$$, so 12k into this guys motor not alarming. I'd venture to guess the HP rating between the two is quite similar.

"The LS7 crate engine MSRP† has been reduced by thousands! MSRP was $17,337, now $14,837. See your dealer for pricing. Limited quantities available. Get yours while supplies last!

With its classic 427-cubic-inch displacement, the 505-hp LS7 7.0L made its mark in the C6 Corvette Z06 and advanced its legacy in the fifth-generation Camaro Z/28."

No doubt! At the speeds it would take to make that time getting a beer out of the cooler by yourself would be dangerous.

While running the Northway early Sunday morning I was passed by a Mercedes AMG GT. I was running at my usual 78 MPH and this thing went by me like I had hit reverse. It had such a sweet rumble to it. What a ride this thing must be.

I just took my car in for an oil change.

My buddy told me there are only two in existence and the other one just sold for a million?  Maybe he was BSing me.

It is pretty. Some kind of Camaro I think.
