Anyone up for a nyskiblog golf touranment this year.

We could either do a scramble or a Rider Cup format.  I'm thinking a WF vs Gore Rider Cup match play format would be a blast.  If enough interest could include a Cats team.

I'll organize it at the LP Club.  Beers and awards at LP Brew Pub afterward.

Who is interested?
I've got a team ---- Camp, Pro, Racer Ron and Jason. Anyone who rolls a cart I want on my team --- I'm driving tho

I'm in. Set a date early, though, because my weekends fill up quick in the summer.

We'd have to have a bit of a chipping/putting/driving/accuracy contest before the Ryder cup thing so we could determine who plays who (or we'd have to do handicaps, but that gets complicated).

Probably easiest to just do a Scramble: Greek Peak vs. Gore vs. WF (might be a couple teams) vs. Plattekill vs. Hunter

Harv and ml, you can join me and and a player to be named later (Ace?) on the Plattekill team. I'm more of a party golfer these days anyway.

LOLzer. Fore real.

Never played 18 holes. Been to the driving range maybe 3 times. I played 5 holes once. I lost so many Titleists in the woods that I quit.

That would be a cool team tho.  Could we play at Cronins?

I'm up to play at Cronin's but someone else down south there would need to organize it then.

And no Campee you don't get a prize for the most beer cans in your cart - you would win that 100 times out of 100

You wait until you meet Racer Ron --- he's the pace setter when it comes to that --- the more he drinks the better he plays. He's damn good sober too!

Re: The Golf Thread

Got out for the first "real" time in about 3 years on Monday. I say real because we played all 18 holes, played the ball down, no mulligans, you know, the rules of golf. WOW!! I need work on my T-ball, went OB 5 times off the tee , think I need work on my compass . Iron play was acceptable, putting was actually good (no 3 putts), BUT I chipped like Ray Charles ---- had 3, 3 chips . Best shot I had was my 4 hybrid (love that club) from about 210 slightly up hill, the bitch flew off my club, wicked high in the air, turned over and everything  --- felt good. Shot a 94 --- shitting score but I certainly had fun and plan on playing again on Monday. Score will come down to somoewhat of a respectable level once I get a couple of things figured out.

Ehemm, cough, cough, calling Pro, calling Pro --- Need help with the T-ball buddy

Re: The Golf Thread

warp daddy
Hey for the first time out Camp not bad .

Have yet to play , the hip replacement thing is sloooow to recover , i m walkinng without aid but look like Frankenstein wobble at times . BLew a blood test , some scary markers , was really hurtin too , but alas today everything blood test wise was Aok , no issues , the device in my hip is still great , no loosening but i do have groin ache pretty nasty at times .

But i had been really ratcheting up my PT rputines and stretchs and OVERDID it , but i am greatly relieved that no major problems ...so i went to the. Range today for the first time .. FUGLY !!! I had a really great season last yr but this season will be a struggle since flexibility and smoothness will be a major uphill climb given the situation ..BUT it will come .

Bas news is my docs are trying to convince me to give up skiing , after turning 73 last week and having been in some serious ache with this slooow recovery has me wondering ..   BUT I am very thankful to be on the mend and able at some point to resume golf hopefully at the level i was playing rhe game last season

Keep swinging Campy and looks like ur putting is strong the rest will come ?
