Thanks Warp. Yea, I was actually surprised as to how I hit it. I was making good contact but my direction was awful. Maybe I'll start on direction starting in July

Glad you're on the mend buddy --- hang in there. Kick ass on that PT stuff and maybe the Doc will give you the Aok to start rippin up the hill again.

Played for first time since hip surgery , still achy but thought i 'd  go 9 holes instead of my usual 18

Pretty happy , shot a 39 , one bird on the first hole , 4 pars ,15 putts . Biggest issue is distance off the tee because the groin aches on the right so it affects the turn alittle . But very first hole hit it 255 right down the middle ..i was amazed . But started losing distance with the silly stick as the round progressed . But Pretty happy that the muscle memory really helped the approach and short game

Will probably continue playing just 9 holes until the groin ache is gone . , but hey it was great to get out there !!⛳️

Nice WARP!!!

Got out once over the weekend --- scored MUCH better, still hit it about the same but dif was I  kept it in play off the T and no 3 chips!!

Shot double dog balls -- 88

Still lots of room for improvement, even to get back to where I used to be, but it felt good to have some idea of where the ball was gonna go after I hit it.

Outstanding !!, 6 stroke improvement over ur last outing and a very strong score , you will soon dial in that silly stick ....JUST gotta play some more dude . You got the skills , just gotta retune the muscle memory ,

As we both know keepin that lil sumbitch on the short grass gives ya hope !!!  As Robin Williams might say  bwa hahahaah. Who the hell wants to be thrashing  yet ass off in da weeds  with a stick that looks like a tire iron 🤓🤓😄😄. I fn luv that Robin Williams vid on the history of golf

This post was updated on .
I just got back from a two week vacation to Portugal for our 25th anniversary.

We spent 5 days in a golf resort on the southern coast in Algrave.  The Victoria course I played easily ranks in the top 5 courses I've ever played.  It's hosts a euro pga tour event and was such a great track.  Considering I played with rental clubs I was happy with posting a 81.  Had a 38 on the front 9 but the finishing holes were really tough.

To play in the morning it was 200 bucks.  I played twilight for 82 euro and finished in 3 hours walking. Got in 2 other rounds.

Portugal is a great country to visit.

The wine and food is great and cheap.  It's very English friendly as they have been an ally of the U.K. For centuries.

Nice place COach , Happy Anniversary too.

Round no 2 today VERY strange round , still having trouble with distance with the silly stick because of th groin issue. .

Had a damn snowman with 3 penalties , followed by a double then it started ' 2 birdies , 4 pars , finished with. 40  for 9  had only 13 putts . Really pleased with the short game , approaches and putting . But man i need the damn strength back in that upper right thigh and groin area to really make a decent turn

But happy just to be out there ,but now i m walking like Frankenstein after it so get the damn ice pack out 😨😟 .Man those damn nasty greenhead flys were out too ,  got me a couple times , NOTHING stops those big bastids

Had a nice round going even par thru 6 holes then brain farted leading to two lost balls on one hole.  It took 3 holes to get the wheels back on but I was was putting so well still managed a 76.

Why the heck can't I putt like this and have my a game at the same time?  This game sometimes really pisses my off.

Worst golf weather I've ever played in and I'm a die hard golfer who will play in the rain often.  There was a 45 min span where it was raining sideways with 35 mph winds.  I used every glove in my bag

It was brutal

Congrats to DJ for his win at the US Open. Even with that craziness at the 5th he kept focused and pulled it out proving that winners never cheat and cheaters never win. Anymore it seems very few sports  are truly about integrity and sportsmanship. Both of those define the game of golf.

It was BS they came out in middle of round and told him "maybe" the would assess a penalty at the end.

Agree, not sure why the hell they did that after already telling him there was no penalty.  That was strange to say the least. Seemed other pros where more up in arms over than Dustin was which I found cool.

Re: The Golf Thread

His ball inadvertently moved on the 5th green. He called an official over and explained what had happened. The official asked Dustin if he had done anything to make the ball move, Dustin replied no and that he didn't even ground his putter. At that point the official told him there was no penalty, to put his ball back to where it was and carry on. On the 12th hole the USGA official came up to Dustin and told him that his play on the 5th green was still being reviewed and there possibly could be a 1 stroke penalty invoked. That's where the rub is. He was told no penalty then told well maybe there will be. Turns out it really didn't matter.

Re: The Golf Thread

Good to see it didn't matter.  DJ did ground the putter with his practice stroke which as less than a second to the ball moving.  He also has his putter as close to the ball on his practice strokes as I have ever seen.  IMO it was a penalty but I think they should have just told him that when they discovered it not this grey area crap.

Good to see DJ has his life turned around.  His "injury" that lasted 6 months a few years back was widely known to be a drug violation.  His wife is smoking.  She purposely wore that outfit then spent the day pulling her skirt down.
