Curious what damage we get today. Looking at the radar looking like mainly Virga and showing snow but...who knows.

If it could just not rain..or just sprinkle that would be great.

Last push of immature snow is starting to push through SYR right now...hopefully it ends up as mature snow as it heads into the ADK's

I started the day in ski bowl glades which were powdery on the first run.  It was the first time I did them and I went the wrong way and basically bushwhacked through, they need better signage.  By the Second run it started to get warm and sleet and was not fun.   Skied the rest of the day up top which was in great condition with plenty of powder still around.

Unfortunately this afternoon's warm damp air has made everything wet and I expect refreeze tonight.  I was also to make a snowball out of the powder up top which isn't a good sign.  Right before the biggest weekend of the year - shame

Disappointing to hear but what I expected. I'll be there tomorrow to see how things fared. Sunday...we'll see how tomorrow goes before I decide on that.

High expectations it will be icy, low expectations it will be anything else.

I wish we could snap out of this weekend rain cycle. Sitting at 15 days this year thus far which was way behind my normal. Not being able to take time off to ski during the week when it isn't raining is really hurting me this season. I'm past the days of skiing when I know it's boilerplate, and since that has coincided with quite a few weekends, that has really ate into my season.

Sun shower turned into rain shower but really not bad. The moisture is going to firm up and turn to hard pack.

The freeze thaw cycle appears to be the new reality, makes packed powder a short lived novelty.

If we don’t get a major meltdown, all this snow is going to pack in for what might become some nice spring turns.

I think things that are groomed late, after it gets cold, could be good.

Today was primo, may have to write something.

Ski Bowl Glad and JJ's both open today.  Snow was really great in morning, a bit tarnished by the rain drops as day went on.

Guaranteed Gore Sunday.  On the way over tomorrow, would you hit Magic (deeply discounted tickets) or Gore? Never been to gore, hoping to rip some glades.

Not sure what things will be like today, but my guess is up top trees will be in play.

Awesome day yesterday, incredible luck to run into Steve Ovitt at first chair. We went far against conventional wisdom skiing the bowl, BRQ, Rabbit Pond and Becks.

I was at Gore yesterday, and Ski Bowl Glades were wet and heavy by 11am. It stayed pretty good higher up, but by 130 the last pitch of Chatiemac was getting heavy.

I started with a non-stop top to bottom, from the warming hut to Ski Bowl. I should have known to abort the mission when I had to skate Cloud out before I reached where Ruby comes in.

I'm hoping for firm and fast tomorrow. How sad is that?

Glad to hear it, I guess the change over to snow last night helped.  We decided to go snow shoeing instead today.  How crowded was it?
